How can we help?
Our clinicians will initially meet with you to undertake an assessment. This is an opportunity to develop a shared understanding of your needs and the areas for change. The assessment is also a chance for you to get to know the clinician, and begin to build a therapeutic alliance. We believe it’s really important to find a therapist you believe you can work well with, which is why we have a choice of therapists we can link you to.
Following an assessment, the next focus of work is developing a formulation – which is essentially a psychological story of the factors which shaped your emotional well-being, and maintain your symptoms. An effective formulation will help identify the best therapeutic approach to take.
All our clinicians are trained in the use of clinically proven approaches to tackle most mental health difficulties. They are skilled in a number of therapeutic models, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Systemic approaches.
